5. Cooling and Annealing: After shaping, the glass is slowly cooled down to a solid state. This process is called annealing. Annealing is an important step because it helps to remove any internal stresses in the glass and makes it stronger. The cooling process can take several hours to days, depending on the size and thickness of the glass.
